Our Missy Agú turns 3 months old! Isabella’s favorite word is “Ah-goo” when she is excited, and squeals every now and then. She talks to her bouncy seat little hanging animals and kicks them with her feet… we think Fisher Price intended for them to be played with their hands?
She let out a laugh for the first time at Mommy in Church a couple of weeks ago. She is one alert little girl, all smiles at you after a good meal and a clean diaper. She is beginning to turn her head towards you as you talk to her .
Mommy and Daddy got all excited during our Disney trip because Isabella began to sleep thru the night at the Hotel, but we lost that routine upon returning home, sigh!... she sleeps 5-6 hours before her middle of the night “snack” and goes back to bed until 6-7 in the morning, ready for more food. She is beginning to snail around the crib when she frees herself out of her swaddle, so the bumper cribs came down. She is growing quick, already fitting in some of Caroline’s 6 months outfits; maybe she is trying to catch up with her beloved older sister so they can shop together?
Let’s talk about Caroline; we just watched Dr. Harvey Karp book on DVD “Happiest Toddler on the block” and he has confirmed that our Missy Foo is definitively experiencing her “Terrible Two’s” we didn’t know it actually starts at 18 months? We are so on schedule! Caroline redefines the word “Tantrum”; when she hears the word “NO!”, brace yourself and reach for the noise cancellation headphones because her high pitch squeal is off the charts! We’ve been reading about it and so far have been on the right track, and with Dr. Harvey techniques, we think we can have her under control in another 5 years…
Caroline is very strong willed like her Great Grand Granny Angela, and stubborn maybe like uhm... her; uhm Daddy?.. she must have a stop watch in her crib because she can hold a tantrum at 2:30 in the morning for 30 minutes until she falls asleep, standing up, and finally surrenders to fatigue laying back down to sleep. The next morning she wakes up cheerfully as if nothing happened, ready to peel apart a sticky notepad, or jimmy open the scotch tape locking Daddy’s office desk doors ( she finally figured it out).
Her vocabulary is expanding rapidly, clearly says “Yes”, “it’s cold”, “It’s hot”, “Car..”, “Rice”, “Corn”, “Hey Dada”, “Mama”… she still spins herself like a top and today began walking backwards… this girl will still not eat any meat, but serve her some rice, green beans or corn, with a leaf of lettuce with ranch dip, and she is in heaven. Of course Pizza is still one of her favorite, but that kid universal food.
Her animal sound making repertoire now includes a Lion “arghh…”, Cow “Mmmm”, Chicken “Pok…”, Dog “fffff”, Cat “Meooow”, Goat “eh eh eh”, Monkey “Ooo Ooo”, Gorilla (she pats her chest) and PawPaw “Yoo hoo!”… We never intended PawPaw Jim to be par of our Little Sonore Animal kingdom, but she learned his name very effectively!
We have new video coming out soon of Caroline’ Paci trick; stay tuned for its release.
